I want some help. There is company registered in a EU country and has a third party supplier with manufacturing facilities outside EU. The third party supplier is polluting ground water unabashedly. I want to know if there is a remedy without going into expensive legal route.

Dear M. Ashish Bansal,

Thank you for contacting the European Environment Agency (EEA).

The mandate of the EEA is to produce reports on the state and trends of the environment in Europe in its attempt to improve the environment and move towards sustainability in Europe. The nature and scope of your question fall outside our remits and we are not in a position to comment on the matter. National authorities have the power to investigate and intervene as regards industrial pollution in their respective countries.

Thanks. I was under an impression that environment would be covered internationally the same way as bribery is. Thanks anyway
