I'm looking to find out water use data from different basins in Europe or at a higher granularity than the country-level data from FAO's Aquastat. An equivalent dataset of the USGS's county-level estimates would be ideal as we are looking at comparing agricultural, industrial and domestic demands: http://water.usgs.gov/watuse/data/2010/index.html

You can find more detailed information on water use by sectors at the river basin or sub-basin scale on seasonal resolution for almost all of Europe at ; http://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/assessment-1
Please also try to explore with the interactive map on the same webpage where you can also see time series.

thanks! I cant seem to find a way to download the data in a csv format. Is this possible? Do you have a link to the Terms of Use of these data?

The spatial reference map for displaying the data is the Ecrins (C_SB) which can be downloaded from the following link:
