DanteMaschio doubts about the reported data on the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive (UWWTD)

Hello,

I am working on a database based on the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive (UWWTD) data reported by the EU Member States. Here there are some doubts I can not solve with the information available on the EEA website.

General questions:
- Can we understand Individual Appropriate System (IAS) as an on-site treatment?
- According to the descriptions of the updated tables on the web now the number of real inhabitants is reported in the agglomeration table. However these data are not up to date. It will be available?

In relation to some tables:
1. T_UWWTPs:
(uwwloadentering) Is there a possibility to have the influence flow in m3 /d?
(uwwstate) How can I understand the inactive and temporarily inactive state for each uwwtps point?
(uwwdateclosing and uwwendlife) Could I understand that records prior to the current date are points that are no working now?
(uwwotherteatment) Which is the difference between Tertiary treatment (UV, Cl, O3,…) and Other – more stringent treatment?
(uwwperformance) How can I understand the Not Relevant registers?

2. T_agglomerations
(agglstate) How can I understand the inactive or temporarily inactive state for each agglomeration?
(aggendlife) What it meant that an agglomeration has reached its end of life?

3. T_UWWTPAgglom
When it is an imperative to report the relationship UWWTPs:Agglomeration?

4. T_UWWdischargepoints
(dcpstate) How can I understand the inactive and temporarily inactive state of a discharge point?

5. T_UWWemissionload:
Why there is so little information about the polluting charges (BOD, COD, TSS) that come in and out of UWWTPs?

I would also be useful if you can send me the Spanish contact who report and work on the data related to this directive.

Thanks,

Dante

paulhoepner Dear EEA Team.

together with the Organization Getidos we are currently developing an App to show bathing spots and their water quality to users, in order to raise awareness of water quality issues. I have seen, that the EEA offers a large data set with exactly the data we would need.

http://www.eea.europa.eu/da[…]e-status-of-bathing-water-8

My Question is, if there is any way to access this data using an API (i. e. REST). In order to include it into our app, we would need to be able load the data depending on parameters like location, water quality, water type (river, coastal ... )

I have seen, that the data is already used in a map visualization, but i am not sure if this map is using an API to get the data, or if the data was integrated manually. Maybe someone has further information on this?

Also, it would be fine if we would be able to download the data in a Format like JSON.

It would be great, if you can help with my question, or if you could point me to someone, who can.

Thank you very much for your support and help,

Paul Hoepner

Gab_Gaff Hi,

Is there an Excel version of the information available on the WISE Water Framework Directive (data viewer) page (
https://www.eea.europa.eu/data-and-maps/dashboards/wise-wfd).

Also, why is there no information regarding Ireland (and perhaps a few other EU countries) available on the WISE Water Framework Directive (data viewer) page?

Thanking you in advance.

Kind regards,

Gabriel

jwhite Dear Sir/Madam,

I see from this image <
https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/image_large> that the EEA hold a database of reservoirs impounding large rivers across Europe. I was wondering if it would be possible to obtain a shapefile or a CSV indicating the locations of these reservoirs across the UK at all? Many thanks.

Best wishes,

Dr James White.
