Minivan, that’s a great question.

Does appear EEA, hasn’t an answer. With Powerhouse Energy Group of the UK, within next eight months bringing online its Distributed Modular Gasification (DMG) unit this data could be of great interest to many whom demand a way to remove these tyres without toxic byproduct without incineration.

A DMG unit produces without a chimney electrical energy and verified road fuel hydrogen within a footprint less than 4000sqm. Power for the many.

Dear 'Minivan',

Thank you for contacting the European Environment Agency (EEA) and sorry for the delay in response. Your message got lost in our system.

We unfortunately do not possess any information as regards rubber waste recycling nor the location of stockpiles of used tyres in Europe. We apologize for not being able to help you further.

With kind regards,
EEA Enquiry Service
