I'm a German student and as a part of a written composition I have to point out differencences in the collection of E-Waste. This comparison should include different countries. Up to now I'm only familiar with the German way of collection and the categories.

The WEEE includes 10 categories, but for collection there are only 5 groups in Germany. These groups are:

1. Large household appliance
2. Cooling units
3. IT and telecommunications equipment
4. gas discharge lamps
5. Small household appliance

How is collection done in other EU states? Could you please tell me the collection groups in other EU states?

I would be very grateful if you can provide me any information.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards

Thank you very much for your qiuck response.

Unfortunately, I could not find the contents I was looking for.

I have found out that in Turkey there are 6 groups for collection.

For more information I would be very grateful.

It is Eurostat that collects data on WEEE generation and management, they may have useful data.
The link is http://ec.europa.eu/[…]/weee
The Commission also has a useful page on WEEE: http://ec.europa.eu/[…]/events_weee_en.htm
