Dear EEA,

Thank you for the devoted work and useful analysis and articles.
I am a student, and I am writing a bachelor's paper on Happiness in European countries. Can you please link some data concerning transport systems in Italy, Spain, Greece and Portugal? Also, I'd love to investigate Health and resource efficiency, as it can affect the overall level of happiness.

Thank you for your support.

Dear Ms. Veronica Kostenko,

Thank you for contacting the European Environment Agency (EEA) regarding your bachelor’s paper and your investigation on health, resource efficiency and transport systems.

We would kindly suggest that you take a look at the links below, where you may find some of the information you are looking for:

- The EEA page on Environment and Health: https://www.eea.europa.eu/themes/human contains many interesting publications, especially our latest one on ‘Unequal exposure and unequal impacts: social vulnerability to air pollution, noise and extreme temperatures in Europe’ as well as data and maps (for example on noise exposure and the correlation between temperatures and fatalities).

- The EEA page on Resource efficiency: https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/resource-efficiency.

- As regards your investigation on transport systems in 4 countries, you may want to have a look at the Country briefings and Cross-country comparison (https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/transport) done in the context of the SOER 2015 (THE EUROPEAN ENVIRONMENT - STATE AND OUTLOOK 2015). The information and data would be slightly out-dated now but you can have an idea on the types of data, indicators and information you can expect from EEA. Kindly be informed that the next SOER is foreseen for 2020.

- Signals 2016: Towards clean and smart mobility: https://www.eea.europa.eu/publications/signals-2016.

If you have any further questions after having looked at these pages, feel free to get back to us and we will forward your questions to the most suitable expert. Please be as specific and detailed as possible, so our expert can help you in the best possible way.

Please also be aware that all EEA publications are available electronically on the EEA website free of charge. Please see: https://www.eea.europa.eu/p[…]=en&c11=5&b_start=0 .

Best of luck with your studies!
