Dear everyone,

in the scope of a marine conservation project on the Pomeranian Bay, I am looking for high-resolution maps of the marine Natura 2000 sites of Poland and Germany. I have encountered the country-specific maps on this website:
https://www.eea.europa.eu/d[…]-directives-1#tab-hard-copy
and among others, this region-specific map:
https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/image_large

However, the resolution in these is not sufficient for our needs.

Can anyone kindly advise me where I can find such international map of the Baltic region i) in high resolution, ii) in which I can zoom into specific areas (e.g. only Pomeranian Bay), iii) which I would be free to use on our project-specific website, in presentations, outreach documents etc.?
On a small note, I am not familiar enough/do not have access to ArcGIS, so unfortunately do not have the means to adjust or create those maps myself.
Any feedback would be much appreciated!

many thanks in advance and kind regards

Dear Ms. KatFi,

Thank you for contacting the European Environment Agency (EEA).

The maps uploaded under the link https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/folder_listing are in high resolution. The high resolution vector based graphic file in .EPS format can be downloaded by clicking on 'Original file application/postscript'.

Should you wish to work with Natura 2000 data, you may use the files available at: https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/natura-10#tab-gis-data. Working with the GIS data would require access to a proper GIS tool like ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, Q-GIS or similar.

The same applies for the map posters of the biogeographical regions at https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/folder_listing. GIS-data for the Biogeographical regions can be downloaded here:
https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/biogeographical-regions-europe-3 .
