Dear EEA team,

I've been playing around with your Austrian shapefile (https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/austria-shapefile) a bit and have noticed that the spatial classification on the district level, i.e. 'adm2', does not incorporate some of the more recent district re-classifications; I'm happy to provide more information on these changes if needed.

In any case, I have updated your official shapefile for my own, personal and non-commercial use and was wondering if I could share this work on my own public github page.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Dear 'Olibats',

We were actually going to get back to you after our internal discussion with our responsible person. You are welcome to reuse the data but we require that i) the source is clearly acknowledged and that ii) a notice about the amendment that you have made to the classifications is included.

We would also like to thank you for informing us about the re-classifications. These will be taken into consideration in future spatial works.

Hope this helps.

All the best
