Hi, everyone. I'm comparing land cover data in 2006 with the data in 2012. But I found it indicates different numbers between 2006 and 2012. For example, I checked Albania's 2006 landcover ('Land cover 2006 and changes country analysis') by using excel file (https://www.eea.europa.eu/d[…]d-changes#tab-european-data), its total area is 28,797 (hundred hectare). However, if I take a look at this data by using 'land cover country fact sheets 2012' (https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/land-cover-country-fact-sheets), it shows the different hectares of each land use and total land area in 2006 (total area: 28,948), comparing with the data from 'Land cover 2006 and changes country analysis' . I'm confused which data is correct.

Dear 'ylee51',

Thank you for contacting the European Environment Agency (EEA).

The table that you are referring to is outdated and has been archived. We would like to suggest that you use the CORINE Land Cover datasets that contain updated and reliable data: https://land.copernicus.eu/pan-european/corine-land-cover. You are also welcome to contact the Copernicus land helpdesk if you have any further questions: copernicus@eea.europa.eu.

We hope that this information will be useful for you.

With kind regards,
EEA Enquiry Service
