Question on IPCC sector to ETS sector conversion

Hi! I'm trying to figure out if there is an approximate conversion between the IPCC sector codes in the Greenhouse Gas Dataset: http://www.eea.europa.eu/da[…]-gas-monitoring-mechanism-6 to the ETS-covered sectors. Any help on resources to do so would be greatly appreciated.

Dear RNixon,

Installations included in the CITL are grouped in different sectors according to Annex I of the EU Emission Trading Directive (Directive 2009/29/EC of the European Parliament and of the council of 23 April 2009 amending Directive 2003/87/EC so as to improve and extend the greenhouse gas emission allowance trading scheme of the Community, Official Journal of the European Union, 5.6.2009).

There is unfortunately no clear correspondence between these sectors and the IPCC sectors used by countries to report their GHG emission inventories under the UNFCCC.
The EEA’s European Topic Centre on Air Pollution and Climate Change Mitigation did an analysis of the consistency between GHG inventories and ETS data a few years ago: http://acm.eionet.europa.eu[…]007_3_CO2_ETS_vs_GHGinv2005

Apart from that, I am not aware of any further work to reconcile these two different classification systems.
