Looking for CO2 equivalent emissions per kWh for electrictiy generated in the EU. I already have a report from International Energy Agency (IEA) althought it only contains CO2 emissions. Is there any other report with CO2e.

Best Regards,
Alkiviadis

Hi Alkiviadis

Our data viewer available on the following link contains information on EU emissions from electricity and heat generation: http://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/greenhouse-gases-viewer
See emission source “1.a.1.a public electricity and heat production”.

CO2 represents 99% of the GHG emissions from electricity and heat generation in the EU, therefore having CO2 emissions only is already very close to total GHG in CO2 equivalent.

Further data on EU electricity generation in kWh can be downloaded from Eurostat here: http://epp.eurostat.ec.europa.eu/[…]/database

I hope that this information is helpful for your research.

Also looking for CO2eq/kWh in EU - preferably country-wise/ area-wise.

Above link (http://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/greenhouse-gases-viewer) only gives total CO2 emissions although nice that we can filter it by country. Second link (http://epp.eurostat.ec.europa.eu/[…]/database) doesnt work. Also, unfortunately, I am not able to open link to PDF or Demo video.

Hello,
You can select "geographic entity" and choose your country of interest in our GHG data viewer:

Hopefully this answers your question.
Please contact eurostat directly for enquiries related to their information/data products.
Kind regards.
