Hello, I am looking for information about CO2 intensity of electricity and heat generation in g CO2/kWh. In past I was able to find them throgh https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/5f88966c-f995-4f30-b8e2-f2748c5a9cbd but now it is not available. Also my question is what are the latest data for this indicator? Thanks in advance. Michal

We are presenting information on the CO2 emissions of electricity generation in the energy indicator ENER038 ‘Overview of electricity production and use in Europe’: https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/assessment.
The information is available in figure 1 of the indicator. Unfortunately, the indicator was not updated last year.

Kind regards

thanks for the answer. The link seems to not working, but it can be easly found be googling "indicator ENER038".

The indicator shows only emissions intensity of electricity generation.

Is there published indicator which combines heat and electricity?

I have found some figures in the past at you website, for example 353.4 g CO2/kWh in 2014 for the Slovak republic public electricity and heat production, can you please confirm this value?

Kind regards

We only show indeed the CO2 emissions for electricity generation.

The link is as follows: https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/assessment

I wanted to ask whether there is an update for 2016 of the data presented in indicator ENER038, more specifically if there is an update for Bulgaria (https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/assessment). In the case that there is no such update, do you have the amount of CO2 emissions for the electricity sector only? (Considering that the total amount of electricity produced is 45 TWh).

Thank you in advance.
Best regards!
