Dear all,
The EEA provides emission factors for electricity production for each member countries. (CO2 emission intensity of electricity generation). The value for the EU is 295 gCO2/kWh for 2016.
This sound very precise, however, I think there are some uncertainties (maybe considerable uncertainties).
Please give a standard deviation or confidence interval for these values. Where can I find data about uncertainty of this calculations?
Thank you

Dear Erik,

Thank you for contacting the European Environment Agency (EEA).

The EEA describes the methodology and limitations in full on the dissemination webpage of the dataset. Beyond that, providing confidence intervals could be challenging, not least because the method also uses Eurostat data, which is not within EEA’s remit to judge. The matter of providing confidence intervals on these estimates will nevertheless be explored by the competent expert at the EEA.
