To whom it may concern,

I am Raul E. Fretes, an International Studies master's student at ISCTE-IUL in Lisbon, Portugal developing his master’s thesis on the potential of IoT- 5G Wireless Communications and Monitoring System technology in climate policymaking and decision-making.

I am writing this email concerning the subject of my master's dissertation on the matter of technological innovations and policies regarding the urgent matter of climate change, where I study the potentials impact of the upcoming IoT-5G Wireless Communication Systems in the climate policymaking process and decision making process through the analysis of current deployed technologies that are attempting to address this crucial issue

My project consists in the potential benefits of said systems as an instrument and tool for the monitorization, evaluation, and development of proactive, flexible and robust climate policies and response within both private and public institution.

If possible, I would appreciate any futher contacts to whom I could interview or ask further questions on regards to my project thru the completion of a questionaire.

Best Regards,
Raul E. Fretes

Dear M. Raul E. Fretes,

Thank you for contacting the European Environment Agency (EEA).

As we already pointed out a year ago, we would suggest that you contact the European Commission - DG Climate Action that would be best placed to help you in your research ( ). Indeed, the EEA neither sets nor enforces environmental policies. Should you have broader questions on climate change impacts or other environmental topics, you are of course welcome to contact us again.

We wish you all the best in your research.

With kind regards,
