Inevitable, at some point in the future, some europeans need to relocate due to consequences of climate change as well as overuse and misuse of water resources. What are the impacts for receiving countries? Sweden, i.e. northern Sweden, is at high risk of becoming a receiving country since the impacts of climate change are not in any way as severe as it is for e.g. Germany, Netherlands, Greece, Italy and Spain. Are we facing risk of expropriation of our land and property due to EU Strategy on adaptation to climate change?

Hello, European environmental legislation is beyond the Agency’s working remit. The EEA neither sets nor enforces environmental policies. The implementation of the EU adaptation strategy is the responsibility of the European Commission. You may wish to contact DG Climate Action with your question
