dear EEA team, are the CO2 emissions from waste incineration with energy recovery reported in the PRTR the direct emissions or offset. In case of offset then how is this calculated? thanks in advance, Janek

Dear M. 'SWE',

Thank you for contacting the European Environment Agency (EEA).

CO2 emissions reported to the E-PRTR are direct emissions and not offset emissions.

You may also be interested to read the latest briefing on E-PRTR, which has a waste incineration component and is available at the following link:[…]ed.#tab-based-on-indicators .
