I'm looking for a database with emissions factors (g/GJ) for air pollutants per fuel type. I found a table from the Department for Environmental Food & Rural Affairs, which refers to the EEA (EMEP/EEA air pollutant emission inventory guidebook), but this document provides only guidance on how to use the data and not the data (emissions factors itself). Where can I find the emissions factors that I'm looking for?

Dear frietdjik,

Thank you for your interest in the European Environment Agency (EEA).

We have passed your question on to our relevant sector group.

The Christmas holidays are coming up and the EEA offices will be closed from 21 December until 2 January, so reply time may be a bit longer than we usually strive for. Please bear with us - and Happy Christmas to you.

Dear frietdijk,

The EMEP/EEA emission inventory guidebook provides guidelines in order to assess emissions from certain sector and it also provide emission factors for different sectors at different levels of extent, in relation to the availability of activity data.

In addition, on the EMEP/EEA Guidebook webpage, you can find a link to the Emission Factor Database, which is an extract of the Tier 1 and Tier 2 emission factors listed in the Guidebook ([…]/emission-factors-database)
Please be aware that the most updated values are always first available within the chapter.

In order to provide a more detailed answer we must ask which type of sector and fuel you are looking for.

Best regards,
