Good morning,

I was trying to access to the air quality time series database through the link (http://discomap.eea.europa.eu/map/fme/AirQualityExport.htm) and I found some problems downloading certain sets of data. As recommended in the same page, I used the viewers available in the air quality portal (e.g the UTD viewer http://maps.eea.europa.eu/UTDViewer/) to check the avilability of a certain contaminant and station before making the request.

In my case I am trying to access to ozone data in the southern part of Spain and I could only download it from a very limited amount of stations (EOI codes ES1644A,ES1638A
ES1450A,ES0890A,ES1924A,ES1560A and ES2030A), while in the viewer there are plenty of them available for ozone in that area. I tried both E1a and E2a for all the cases.

On example of data available in the viewer but not for downloading is the city called "DOS HERMANAS", code ES1653A. Where after the request it leads to a blank page with no links in it.

Thank you for your time,

Rafael Carmona

Dear Rafael,

Thank you for your interest in the EEA.

Depending on the amount of stations and the years chosen, it may take a while to load the page for download since the server has to pull quite a bit of data.

In an attempt to reproduce the issue you experienced, generating a URL for O3 values in 2016 in Dos Hermanas produced a link to download a .csv-file - a table of data separated by commas - to be opened in, for example, notepad or Excel. It may be an issue with the browser you are using, if it does not recognise the link as a file for download.

Should you require it, you can write an email to info@eea.europa.eu and reference the case no. EEA-181109.0009. Then we can assist with generating the file and send it to you in reply to your email.

Best regards,

Thank you very much for the really fast response. As you said, the problem has to be related with the recognition of the link. I tried several browsers and they did not work either, but finally I tried to manually copy the link and it worked fine.

I have one final enquiry related with this. It is that there are several stations in the region of Huelva (for instance ES0822A, ES1878A or ES1793A) that I can not find in the page I mentioned. When I try to select the city, I cannot find anyone close to that area at all. Is there any way to download the info using the EOI code or to know which stations are included in each city listed there?

Thank you very much again for the help.

Best regards,

Rafael Carmona

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the stations that I can not find for downloading, are available in the online viewer that I said in the first message.

Best regards,
