Dear all,

I have to evaluate NOx and PM emissions for a BRT system using diesel hybrid bi-articulated urban buses (serial-hybrid).

Has anyone tried any approach using existing emission factors from "EMEP/EEA emission inventory guidebook 2013 update Sept 2014"?

As speed-dependant functions for hybrid passenger cars have very different shape than non-hybrid passenger cars, I assume the same difference will apply between hybrid and non-hybrid urban buses.

Unfortunately the guidebook does not provide EF for these kind of vehicles.

Any tips will be more than welcomed!

Thank you for your time.

Hello,
We do not hold information on emission factors for hybrid busses. We published something very general in TERM2012, but it was more about hybrid cars, so probably not useful for you (http://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/transport-and-air-quality-term-2012).
Hopefully you can find useful information from other sources via the web (see for instance this article in Applied Energy http://www.sciencedirect.com/[…]/S0306261914006758).
