I am writing to you with regard to the Carbon Intensity factor of UK electricity production present in Eurostat Database
(
http://www.eea.europa.eu/da[…]3A%5B%22European%20Union%20(28%20countries)%22%5D%7D%7D )

In particular, I am concerned about the Carbon Intensity factor of UK electricity production of 644 g/kWh for UK for 2012.

This data is substantially different from the statistics of the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) in the “Comparison of Emissions Factors for Electricity Generation” (https://www.gov.uk/[…]/Comparison_of_Electricity_Conversion_Factors.pdf ): the Fuel Mix Disclosure (FMD) gives an average CO2 emission benchmark of 430 g/kWh for UK in 2012.

Would you be so kind to help me in solving this incongruity?

felixh Dear EEA,
I'm using AirBase data on air pollution. Are these really raw data? More specifically, I'm looking at the case of Spain. Spain suffers from Sahara Dust and makes calculations on how this affects PM10 (See
http://origin.magrama.gob.es/[…]/Naturales.aspx and http://origin.magrama.gob.es/[…]/anuales.aspx )
Are these corrections applies before the measurements are added to AirBase? Or are these corrections made afterwards? And if they are made before, would it be possible to deliver raw data, as I'm interested in true PM10 and not a version which eliminates PM10 from natural sources?

1. Looking at the tables it seems that 1-to-many relation should be between "measurement_configuration" and "statistics" instead other way around, which is easily noticed as those three fields are not unique in "statistics" table, and by common sense it looks like relation should be opposite from suggested.

2. If above is true, then we can't use "measurement_european_group_code" as key as it is not present in composite PRIMARY KEY in "measurement_configuration" table where we have only "measurement_european_code" which is different from "measurement_european_group_code".

Any suggestions?
