rafael_carmona Good morning,

I was trying to access to the air quality time series database through the link (
http://discomap.eea.europa.eu/map/fme/AirQualityExport.htm) and I found some problems downloading certain sets of data. As recommended in the same page, I used the viewers available in the air quality portal (e.g the UTD viewer http://maps.eea.europa.eu/UTDViewer/) to check the avilability of a certain contaminant and station before making the request.

In my case I am trying to access to ozone data in the southern part of Spain and I could only download it from a very limited amount of stations (EOI codes ES1644A,ES1638A
ES1450A,ES0890A,ES1924A,ES1560A and ES2030A), while in the viewer there are plenty of them available for ozone in that area. I tried both E1a and E2a for all the cases.

On example of data available in the viewer but not for downloading is the city called "DOS HERMANAS", code ES1653A. Where after the request it leads to a blank page with no links in it.

Thank you for your time,

Sincerely,

Rafael Carmona

adrian Hi,

I have a question regarding the Air Quality Index
http://www.eea.europa.eu/themes/air/air-quality-index/index

I would like to know if there is a database with the air quality measures per day and by station/city or if there is any service like an API from which I can access to this information. I am interested in Spain but if this information is available for all countries that would be perfect.

Taking a deeper look to the EEA website I have found several databases but I could not find anyone with those requirements: the air quality measures per day and by station/city.

Thank you very much for your time and attention.

Best,

gbonafe Hi. In your interactive map providing near-real-time information about air pollution (http://www.eea.europa.eu/themes/air/air-quality-index) the Italian monitoring stations are always grey ("No data"). As far as I know, the Italian Institute ISPRA will start sending the data in few weeks. Nevertheless, I wonder if this will be enough to calculate the Air Quality Index for most of the Italian monitoring stations. As explained in your webpage, "the index is calculated for those stations which measure at least the three pollutants NO2, O3 and PM" and "PM10 and PM2.5 values are based on 24-hour running means". Therefore, if I understood correctly, no AQI is calculated for the stations which do not measure PM on hourly basis. Unfortunately, in most of the Italian regions, almost all measures of PM are daily concentrations, not hourly. So will Italy continue to be gray?
