We at the Foundation for Rural and Economic Development in Africa are taking an in depth look at the environmental challenges in Africa, with a focus on climate change, weather patterns, and deforestation. We plan to produce several reports in the coming months and will like to know if you can connect us to publications that will be interested in publishing our reports. Our first project will examine deforestation in the Congo Basin (six countries – Cameroon, Central African Republic, Gabon, the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Equatorial Guinea).

Dear jongebot,

Thank you for your interest in the European Environment Agency (EEA).

We have passed your question on to our relevant sector groups.

The Christmas holidays are coming up and the EEA offices will be closed from 21 December until 2 January, so reply time may be a bit longer than we usually strive for. Please bear with us - and Happy Christmas to you and your organisation.

Best,
EEA Enquiry Service

Dear jongebot,

Our apologies for the long time it has taken to answer your enquiry. We hope the reply does not come too late to be of use to you.

Here a some suggestions for scientific journals which have published articles on climate change with an African perspective in the past and could be receptive to publishing your findings:

The Geographic Journal, published by Wiley on behalf of the Royal Geographic Society
Journal of Natural Resources Policy Research, published by Penn State University Press
Journal of Climate, published by the American Meteorological Society

We must underline that the EEA does not cooperate with these journals and cannot make guarantees on their behalf.

Best regards,
EEA Enquiry Service
