I would like to receive some input from the EEA about the running of projects such as World Community Grid on the platform BOINC on people's computers in terms of its potential usefulness versus its environmental impact. WCGrid says its benefits far outweigh the costs of the used CPU time, but a) they have conflicts of interests, and so are potentially biased b) they don't make an objective assessment of the benefits and costs. What's EEA's take on this?

Dear ecitizen,

The EEA does not have any workloads that require the resources made available by grid computing, so we don't have an opinion on usefulness versus environmental impact.
