Hello! I am checking the Corine Land online Viewer ([…]/land-accounts). I've noticed that the tables for the CLC1990 and CLC2006 data show a "No data" entry, while the CLC200= data do not. My questions are: (1) Why is it so? (2) What does the "No data" entry stems for, and (3) what is it due to? Thank you very much, sofia p.

Different CLC inventories have different geographical extends. The most complete inventory is CLC2000. It’s the CLC2000 inventory that defines the total extend taken into account for the data viewer (729717070 hectares). Some areas that are available within the CLC2000 inventory are not available within other inventories, which explains the “no data” entry. Greece is a good example since CLC2006 for GR is not available, hence data shown for the Greek CLC2006 inventory are mostly “no data” (which could be read also “not relevant for this inventory”). Hope this clarifies.

Thank you very much for your kind and prompt reply. So I understand that the "No data" entry for the CLC1990 dataset is mainly due to the fact that the CLC1990 survey includes 26 countries instead of the 32 surveyed by the CLC2000 inventory. (1) Correct?
However, (2) what about the "No data" entry in the CLC2006? I cannot find any reference to this in the Implementation_and_achievements_of CLC2006.pdf available on the download page of CLC2006 data.
I'd be very grateful if you could reply to my questions (1) and (2). I'll wait for your kind answer and I thank you very much in advance. Have a great day! sofia p.

Hi again, re-reading your answer again I would like to re-phrase question (2): do I have to understand that the missing data in 2006 CLC survey are due to the fact that Greece was not included, despite the CLC2006 inventory comprises 36 countries instead of 32? Thanks for answering this point (2) and also my previsou point (1). Thanks again, sofia p.

CLC2000 includes the largest number of countries. Both CLC1990 and CLC2006 include less countries than CLC2000. Greece is not part of CLC2006.
