Hello!

MHIDAS (Major Hazard Incident Data Service) is not an EEA product, and to our knowledge has not been used in any of our reports. A quick search reveals that it is published by AEA Technology on behalf of the UK Health and Safety Executive. We have not been able to find an active link to the MDIHAS on their webpage. Thus, you may want to contact them directly for more information: http://www.hse.gov.uk/contact/index.htm

We have compiled a few sources for statistics on natural disasters and hazards, which you may find useful:

UNEP’s disaster database search tool: http://www.unep.fr/scp/sp/disaster/database/
The International Disaster Database EMDAT/CRED: http://www.emdat.be/
NatCatSERVICE by Munich Re: http://www.munichre.com/[…]/default.aspx

We hope you can use this information!
