Dear Mdm/Sir

I would like to come in touch with a person that is responsible for the European
Habitat Classification. In particular the Terrestrial Part on Grassland and Heathland.

I found no contact data, but arrived at a login procedure for members. But I do not
know how one can become a member of such a forum. There is no membership routine.

So, I would appreciate if you could help me coming in contact with someone from the
steering board of that classification, ideally the responsible lead author for that
part of terrestrial habitats. I saw, this was issued 2016, with a revision in 201. 7
Thank you very much.

Dear Prof. em. Ch. Körner,

To our knowledge, there is no need for a registration in order to access the EUNIS database. The link that you provided us leads to a briefing that is publicly available.

You may be interested in consulting the revision of EUNIS Grassland and Heathlands habitat groups and especially the following links:

- The EUNIS habitat classification of 2012 for grasslands and heathlands can be found at: https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/eunis-habitat-classification and https://eunis.eea.europa.eu/habitats-code-browser.jsp

- The Heathlands were updated together with Forests in 2017. However, these groups are still under revision and will be published at a later stage. The 2017 revision can be found here https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/eunis-habitat-classification

- Revised grasslands will also be published at a later stage at the same link

- All these revisions will be accompanied by cross-links to Annex I habitats and Red List habitats

Should you have any specific questions, please do not hesitate to get back to us.

With kind regards,
EEA Enquiry Service
