Could EEA advise the latest marginal external cost of air pollution especially for power plants in the EU member states?

EEA website shows the external cost of electricity production for each member country.

Is it possible to access the marginal external cost associated with pollutants SO2, NOX and PM from the power plants?

Kindly note that the indicated webpage (https://www.eea.europa.eu/d[…]of-electricity-production-1) has been archived on the EEA website as the content is outdated.

In this regard, we would recommend to refer to a 2014 EEA publication - 'Costs of Air Pollution from Industrial Facilities' (https://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/costs-of-air-pollution-2008-2012)-, which presents an updated methodology for estimating damage costs from facilities including power stations. Country-specific damage costs for the requested pollutants are available.

Please also note that we are presently reviewing the scope to develop an updated methodology approach for this issue; however, work on this has just started.

We hope this information may be useful to you.

Kind regards,
EEA Enquiry Service
