EEA's project on contaminated sites. We would like to email Anna Rita Gentile, as EEA project manager for contaminated sites (is she still in charge?) and any other professionals responsible for EEA’s assessments of management of contaminated sites. Is there any person from DG JRC or ETC/S we can get in touch with regarding this issue?

Dear Virginia

Thanks for your question.

Anna Rita Gentile no longer works at the EEA. I have contacted our current in-house expert on soil and asked her for relevant references on the topic of contaminated sites. I will send you an e-mail with the relevant contact details.

The European Topic Center for soil no longer exists. Since 2007, the responsibility for the soil theme has been with DG JRC, and data collection now happens under their responsibility.

You may find the following websites useful:

JRC's European Soil Portall: http://eusoils.jrc.ec.europa.eu/
