Hi,
I'm working with the Exhaust emissions from road transport chapter. The chapter is: http://www.eea.europa.eu/[…]/emep-eea-guidebook-2016, Part B: sectoral guidance chapters: 1. Energy: 1.A Combustion: 1.A.3.b.i-iv Road transport 2016.

I’ve realised that in the table 3.42 (TIER 3 - page. 61) there's no FC for EURO later than Euro 4, but the same table shows the emission factors for NOx, CO & PM for the Euro 4 and later.

What factor should I use to calculate Euro 5 and 6 fuel consumption? It means I need to use the same FC for Euro 4, 5 & 6? If I use the same FC for the different EURO, it means the emissions of CO2 are the same for these technologies.

Moreover, I would like to know the FC for Euro 4 & 5 of Two-Stroke and four-stroke mopeds >50 cm3 and the FC for motorcycles >50cm3 Euro 4.

Many thanks in advance,

Currently there are any emission factors for Euro 4 and on 2-wheelers, (e.g. COPERT 5 use the same as Euro 3)
So it is suggested to use the provided EURO 3 ones.

Hi,

I jump in the thread as I have a question related to the same chapter.

I have noticed that the Tables 3-5 to 3-10 representing Tier 1 emission factors, are the same as in the 2013 Guidebook. However, in the online database, these values are different.

E.g. Table 3-5 - Passenger Cars - Diesel - CO - Mean value (g/kg) = 3.33
In the database:Table 3-5b (indicated) Passenger Cars - Diesel - CO - Mean value (g/kg) = 4.7

Am I mistaken or is there an error in the pdf tables?

Thanks!

Thank for highlighting this issue.

We suggest to use the values from the tables in the Chapter; we are working on fixing and updating the values into the EFDB online for these emissions.
