Hi, I tried to use some information from the urban atlas for the
region of Kiel, I download all fields I unzipped and try
to add the data, but still I cannot get the data into
arc gis... they only let me add one shape file
(de039l_kiel.shp) with an error message saying it can be drawn but not projected. What should I do? Thank you

Hello,
ESRI tools (like arcmap) are using a proprietary dialect for some projection systems. We normally provide OGC (open geospatial consortium) projections files with the datasets we publish. We can't customize our datasets to be totally compliant with processing environments which are not compatible with open standards. For ESRI users we do however provide a separate ESRI friendly prj file. In this case, download this last file, delete the prj file coming with the dataset (OGC standard), rename it to match the dataset name. Arcmap should then then stop complaining. Hope this helps.
